Planning your social media content for the next week/month/year is not easy. What should you post and when? How do you make sure you don’t become irrelevant and repetitive? The answer: know your social media holidays. This is the list of Social Media Holidays in November 2020.

Knowing the biggest social media holidays on a given day/week/month makes planning your social media content a lot easier. It also makes a lot of sense for several reasons. First of all, observing a social media holiday makes you something of an influencer – those who weren’t aware of the holiday will consider you more professional for being aware of the holiday. Secondly, these are perfect for creating a dialogue with your audience and create engagement. Thirdly, you might learn something new about your audience, which can actually be both interesting and useful when you develop your marketing strategy. Lastly, observing relevant social media holidays makes you interesting and relevant – it’s a way for you to brand yourself.

This unique list contains more than 100 important social media holidays celebrated in November 2020. You will probably want to come back to this article several times, so make sure you bookmark it. The list comprises all social media holidays the hashtags of which have been used over 1000 times on Instagram. In other words, you can be sure that the holidays mentioned are big enough for you to observe. Some, however, are obviously more widely celebrated than others.

Should you observe each of these social media holidays? No. Should you observe one every day? No. Should you observe one every week? Yes. Between 1 and 3 social media holidays per week should be the sweet spot for most businesses.

Like I mentioned before, social media holidays are perfect content for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or blog, for that matter. But if you feel like taking the easy route, check out Angie Gensler’s Social Media Content Calendar for 2020 and 2021 . If you want to know exactly what to post on each day of the year and maintain a good ratio of self-promoting posts vs. engagement-focused ones, Angie Gensler’s content calendar is the one for you. Angie’s content prompts follow roughly the classic 80/20 ratio where 20% of the posts are promoting your business and 80% either “inform, educate or entertain” your followers. This means that by following her prompts, you can’t go wrong. If you buy her social media content calendar now, you get both the 2020 and the 2021 calendar, which I think is a rather nice deal. Here’s a short summary of the most notable social media holidays in early November (November 1- November 8). Coming one day after Halloween, November starts out with All Saints’ Day on November 1.
