One crucial step in this process is to know when and how to celebrate national social media holidays that raise awareness about a certain cause. On October 12, you can choose to celebrate two potentially divisive holidays: the Indigenous Peoples Day and Columbus Day. If you choose to participate, make sure you choose sides – celebrating both probably won’t make much sense since the former holiday is a reaction to the latter.
